How to get certified through an AI SEO course, step by step
- Decide what the credential is for. A job search favors known brands. Reimbursement favors invoices or academic credit. Client trust favors exam-based credentials.
- Choose AEO, GEO or general AI SEO. The labels overlap. Read the lesson list rather than the title.
- Check the rules before you start. Question count, pass mark, time limit, retakes and expiry are on the exam page where providers publish them.
- Take the course the exam is written for. Vendor exams test their own course material and tools.
- Pass and publish. Save the PDF, add it to LinkedIn, and note any expiry date.
- Prove it with work. Run a before and after test of how AI tools mention a site you work on. That is the part a credential cannot show.
